No match for raccoons

I was hopeful for the covers to keep raccoons out and it did for two nights, but they broke in on the third. I think they would work well to keep rodents out. I’m hoping that Coopworx will create a cover for the whole feeder that can easily be taken off and on.

Hi Kendall, I am sorry you are havig a problew with raccoons, they can get into almost anything. Maybe you could turn a large metal trash can upside down to cover it at night. I think they would tear up any type of fabric cover if we made one. We did make the lid lockable so they can't lift it. Please let me know if you find something that works. Thanks, Tom

Awesome!

This feed silo takes the daily chore out of feeding the chickens. All around quality! Feed port covers are a must. I rotate the covers every few days to keep the feed always moving.

Very practical

I have received the ports covers really fast. I just think you should include the ports when people buy the feeders.

Hi Moncia, thanks for the feedback, it is a good suggestion. We designed the port covers for people who have their feeders outside of their run so larger animals can't get to the feed at night. We found that most people don't use them which is the reason we made them optional. Thanks, Tom

Must have if you have nightly visitors!

We didn't think we had critters going after our feed, until we did! These covers are easy to install and keep your valuable feed from going to waste. We keep them in a mesh bag on a tree next to the feed.
