MagSlide booth — magnesium guitar slides at a music trade show

Sister brand · ThixoTek · Wilmington

Meet MagSlide

Magnesium — the lightest structural metal on earth

Play guitar? Tom & TJ’s MagSlide was born from leftover magnesium tube after a night of work — glass-like tone, real sustain, light enough for lower action. Same Landmark Drive shop as CoopWorx and EXPOGO.

MagSlide is ordered on playmagslide.com (ThixoTek, Inc.). CoopWorx shipping included is for silos only.

Tom Carter has been designing from Wilmington since 1988. With son TJ he built MagSlide — a magnesium guitar slide from leftover tube after work one night. Billy Gibbons plays MagSlide (and ordered a CoopWorx Feed Silo for his tour manager). Different tools. Same family behind them.

Why MagSlide feels different

Ultralight weight and vibration dampening give you the warmth of glass with the sustain of brass or steel — so you can play with lower action and lighter strings.
