The 40 lb Feed Silo (~$249.95) is our smaller freestanding feeder. The 80 lb Feed Silo (~$279.95) holds up to 80 lbs and is marketed on our home page as feeding up to about 50 chickens. Exact fill frequency depends on birds, breed, and diet — use Find your silo or Compare if you want a quick pick.

Feed Silos dispense dry feed through scratch-resistant ports. The freestanding Water Silo holds 8 gal. with six water ports. Many keepers run both (or a feed+water combo). Wall-mount feed (35 lb) and wall water (7 gal) options are available for coop walls.

We rotomold the Water Silo thick enough that it’s totally opaque — sunlight and UV don’t get inside the way they do with clear or thin waterers, so algae doesn’t get a chance to grow. Cleaning algae out of a waterer is a real chore for a lot of keepers; this design is meant to spare you that. The wall-mount water silo is opaque for the same reason.
