Stake mount feeder

We love this chicken feeder for our 10 hens. I have used several different types and always end up shaking the feeder to fully disperse the food, especially crumble style. However, this Silo feeder naturally moves the food into the feed areas. Best feeder ever!!

Hi Laura, thanks for letting us know how your feed silo is working for you. We designed it to work with all types of feed so that is good to hear. Cheers! Tom

A picture is worth 1000 words.

My chickens love these and it saves feed. They pay for themselves.

You have a very nice setup (and beautiful flock), so happy our Silos are helping!

Great product

Stays dry when raining but I think this could be cheaper for jus plastic

Hi Ronald,

Thanks for letting us know you are happy with your feeder. It is designed to last you many years is all types of weather.

I understand the CoopWorx Feed Silo seems expensive compared to the other type of feeders that have been around for years. My daughter Katie probably had a dozen feeders she had bought over the years trying to find a way to keep her feed dry and from being wasted on the ground.

CoopWorx is rotomolded in Smithfield, NC and assembled at our shop in Wilmington. It holds 80 lbs of feed, has telescoping legs and has a separate vacuum formed feed funnel inside to distribute feed to the ports as it is eaten.

These are a few of the reasons that CoopWorx cost more than a lot of the inexpensive imported blow molded feeders you see on the market.

We have tried to keep the price as low as we can with the increase in cost of the resins and aluminum, so I can see how it may seem expensive considering to the other feeders on the market.

We set out to make CoopWorx the best feeder on the market that will pay for itself by eliminating wasted feed. We like to think of it as the 'Coop de Ville' of chicken feeders.

All the best,

Tom

No noise. Easy peasy.

Had a metal Grandpa's Feeder, but it was too noisy with the banging metal every time they used it, so returned it and ordered this. So quiet. No noise. The only negative of this feeder is that a lot of pre-mixed feeds have a high content of dust/supplements that collect at the bottom, and you have to dig it out with your finger, as the hens are going to dig it out. We tried to transition the flock to layer pellets, and they did pull out a fair amount of the pellets and throw them to the ground in search of the grains from the previous grower feed. So, I wouldn't call it no-waste. Hens have no problems using this. So far, very happy with this design. Can go away for a few days and they can feed themselves! We still supplement their diet with live mealworms we raise, grass/greens, and kitchen scraps every day. Note: we used a sledge hammer to pound in the base.

Thanks for the feedback and the review!

If you see any feed on the ground, try raising the height of the feeder a notch or two so your chickens have to reach a little bit to reach the ports. This should stop them from dragging feed onto the ground, which they like to do.

Please let us know if this helps.

All the best,
Tom

Great product

No wasted feed!

Hi Amy, it is great to hear that your CoopWorx feeder is preventing any wasted feed, that is what we designed it to do.

If anyone with a feed silo sees any feed on the floor, just raise the feeder up a notch and it should prevent them from being able to drag out the feed.

Cheers!

Tom
